Emily Romeijn-Stout
Emily is a PhD student at The University of Washington Information School. She holds an MLIS from the University of Washington, and has served as a Children’s Services Librarian with the Sno-isle library system. She has participated in autism, library science, and early literacy studies at the University of Washington as both a student researcher and a research coordinator. Her current research focuses on how libraries can address the needs of the autism community.
Mina Tari
Mina Tari is a doctoral student in the UW Information School. Her background in Informatics and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies shapes her work in identifying how pedagogical practices affect a sense of belonging for marginalized identities in computer-related post-secondary education.
Simran Bhatia
Simran is an undergraduate senior studying Informatics, with a focus on Data Science and a minor in Statistics. Originally from India, she is actively involved with multiple research projects on campus, student initiatives associated with empowering women in STEM and other volunteer initiatives with Seattle high schools.
Vivian Hua
Vivian is a junior studying Informatics. She is interested in software engineering and she is also passionate about the representation of women of color in software engineering roles!
Lauren Ng
Lauren is a sophomore intending to study Informatics and is currently working on the API/WOC project. As a research assistant, she collects and analyzes data to uncover reasons for students to leave/stay in the technology field. Outside of research, she enjoys practicing Taekwondo and learning VR.
